Winter Moving Concerns

Home / Moving Resources /  Winter Moving Concerns

Pets always find moving day a tough time, but particularly so when the temperature drops.  If you are able to find a temporary home for them when the packing and loading are taking place, this will lower their anxiety and they will thank you dearly.  Make sure they have fresh water available during this time – treats don’t hurt either.

Due to freezing temperatures we are unable to move perishable items and your fridge will be full of them.  Remember to take these with you or give them away to lucky friends and neighbors.

Please make sure all walkways and loading areas are free of ice and snow. This will ensure the safety of our movers while they are loading and unloading your household goods. It is always very neighborly to let your neighbors know when your move day is happening.  They will thank you for the “heads up” and they may help to make sure there is enough room for our large moving van to park in order to begin loading
